Last night I took a delightfully fun Yang Yoga class with Rayne and the gang. The high point of my class was doing dragonfly, a new variation on the basic pose. I wish I had a photo to share of the variation but here is standard dragonfly.
I will most definitely try and get a picture of the variation because I’m dying to see what it looks like from the outside. I love with yoga that there is always another step you can take, subtle shifts can really alter the pose substantially. And arm balancing is just flippin’ cool.
My body is really starting to feel the benefits of the extra classes I’ve been taking. I like the results I’m seeing a lot, I am enjoying Power Yoga more than I have in a long time 🙂 and Yang is just getting more and more fun.
I am teaching yoga at IDRI this morning and at The Ashram tonight. Hooray! I am pleased that I’m not nervous about this morning, I’m going to wing it but I have my ideas. It is so freeing to not be nervous, to just be excited to see where the journey takes us today. The only bummer is that I won’t have time to take a class today so I’ll be behind three… I wish I’d doubled up last night!!!
I hope I get to substitute teach Yang again soon Universe….
