My beloved Prius Scarlett broke down on the freeway yesterday and I think I have finally calmed down 20 hours later. Just got a call from Toyota that she needs a new inverter, which costs 2600$. Good news is she is under warranty so they will pay for parts and labor. Bad news? The part will take 3-4 weeks to arrive 😦 So I am going to have to make friends with a rental car.
The only thing that remains to be determined today is whether Toyota will provide/pay for a loaner vehicle or if I must get a rental car elsewhere and pay out of pocket. That could be spendy, so keep your fingers crossed for me, please.
I’m going to miss Scarlett. She and I have become quite the friends, I spend a lot of time in her (or using her as a yoga prop).
