Taking lunch after a morning in the Biosafety Level 3 laboratory.  If you don’t know, I study the bacteria that causes tuberculosis.  You may think that TB is a disease of the past – it is NOT.  One-third of the world is infected with TB, and the incidence of drug resistant TB is actually pretty terrifying. I’ll leave it there, I have a page devoted to it if you are interested.

Here’s what I look like when I enter the BL3.  For fun I attempted tree and eagle poses – I’m incredibly limited by the suit as you might guess.  Glamorous work.
