Happy Saturday, Oct 4 2014. Today’s pose for #letsgetflexy is up dog. Here is my offering:
Up dog is a bread and butter posture in Power Yoga, part of the sun salutation series It expands the chest and shoulders , really strengthening the muscles that control the shoulder blades. The hip flexors and core get a good stretch and the low back strengthens. Definitely accessible to all levels of students. Give it a try!
Saturday means Yang yoga class at 10 a.m. at The Ashram. I am going to miss that class so damn much when we move, it is my favorite class of the week (that I take, not teach). I do hope that I can teach a form of Yang Yoga in ABQ, that people are into that style. I definitely need to go to some studios the next time we are there, I really need to work on making some connections down there to make this transition as seamless as possible.
